Pengraig is an 80-acre organic farm in West Wales, with a forest garden, vegetable plots and bee hives. There is a beautiful and expansive field for camping, planted to the edges with native coppice. The farm has many facilities including compost toilets and a new shower block, a working kitchen for communal cooking and a barn theatre space with sofas and piano. The farm site also has a disabled accessible woodland walk with a boardwalk, sensory garden, musical sculptures and bush craft centre
Getting There:
By Public Transport:
Train or bus to Carmarthen. (Trains from Paddington, change at Swansea for Carmarthen, check National Rail for other routes).
Then you need a local 460 bus to Drefach/Felindre. Bus stop is about 2 miles from the farm.
(Bus timetables available here)
Lifts may be available from Felindre
By Car:
Any great Holliday adventure begins with a journey… some journeys involve airport  departure lounges and stale doughnuts; some start with hours in traffic on the M25, as your forehead makes dents in the steering wheel; and some holiday adventures involve windy little Welsh roads, wayward sheep and the kind of welcome home that makes every mile worth it – even when it’s raining.
  • 2h 15m from Bristol
  • 3h from the White Horse of Uffington
  • 3h 10m from Exeter
  • 3h 20m from Birmingham
  • 4h from London

From the M4 take the A48 to Carmarthen, then the A484 towards Newcastle Emlyn. On top of the moor after about 12 miles there is a brown sign to the left saying “National Woollen museum”. Take the turn, after about 2 miles there is a five way cross, take the second right. After about one mile there is a little sigh saying “Pengraig” by a steep access road to the left. The farm is up there.

Campervans and Caravans etc:
Please note lanes are narrow and steep – you bring larger vehicles at your own risk.
Campervans will need to approach the farm entrance from the uphill (Carmarthen) direction not the downhill (Felindre) direction and go carefully at the bottom of the drive due to the camber. Please refer to the detailed information sent out after booking for more details
